Why This Works
Implementation intentions (Gollwitzer, 1999) double or triple the likelihood of follow-through. The difference between “I’ll work on my project” and “Tuesday 9–11 AM, I’ll work on chapter 3” is the difference between hoping and planning. Specificity removes the decision at execution time.

The Elimination List
Three inputs you’ll eliminate, not moderate.
Why This Works
Abstinence vs. moderation: Studies on addiction show that full elimination is often easier than partial restraint. Moderation requires constant decision-making (depleting willpower), while elimination removes the decision entirely. After 72 hours, cravings drop significantly.
Huberman’s principle: moderation keeps the craving alive. Pick three inputs that have been pulling at your focus and commit to removing them — not reducing them. The first 72 hours hurt. After that, the mind quiets down.

Note: Don’t pick “social media” — too broad. Pick the specific app, the specific tab, the specific time of day. Specificity is what makes elimination stick.

Place Yourself on the Ladder
Pick a skill or practice you care about. Then place yourself honestly.
Why This Works
The competence ladder (Burch, 1970s) shows that growth requires honest self-assessment. Most people stall because they either overestimate (staying comfortable) or underestimate (giving up). Knowing your actual level lets you choose the right next challenge.
