Disconnection

What happens when you adopt their frame

When you adopt someone else’s frame, you disconnect from yourself.

You stop trusting your own instincts. You start second-guessing your choices. You filter everything through “what will they think?”

And the version of you that existed before the frame? That version starts to feel like a stranger.

💜 But here’s the truth: That version wasn’t wrong. That version was just unprotected.

Let’s name the full cycle:

Someone laughs at or judges a quality in you.

You feel the pressure to change.

You change — consciously or unconsciously.

The guilt spiral begins. You start judging your past self.

Disconnection settles in. You lose touch with who you were.

This pattern can repeat across years. Decades. Relationships.

But once you see it, you can interrupt it.
